Kumar Yogeeswaran

Associate Professor Kumar Yogeeswaran is in the Psychology Department of the University of Canterbury.

“My research broadly examines intergroup relations and group conflict in pluralistic nations comprised of ethnic, racial, religious, and ideological diversity. This interest is fuelled by the desire to understand how people’s membership in social groups shape their attitudes, beliefs, and behaviours toward others as well as their self-conceptions. As a secondary focus, I conduct interdisciplinary research that bridges psychological science with social media communications and human-robot interaction.”
